Welcome to the SSP-NJ Program at Shore Consulting Training and Equipment

SSPNJ is a collaborative effort between the New Jersey Commission for the Blind & Visually Impaired (CBVI) and Shore Consulting Training and Equipment (Shore CTE). The project is funded by CBVI. The goal of SSPNJ is to enhance independence and promote greater community integration for adults who are deafblind. Our statewide network of Support Service Providers (SSP’s) supports us in achieving this goal.

What is an SSP?

A Support Service Provider (SSP) acts as a specialized link to the world for individuals with dual-sensory loss. They provide visual and environmental information, human guide services, and communication access so that a deafblind individual is empowered to make their own informed decisions.
